Why blog???

I created this blog on November 24, it is now Dec 16th. The delay in my posting is a stark reminder of the reason I created the blog in the first place, and the mistakes I hope the blog will assist me in overcoming.

I created the blog to help me achieve my dreams. It will chronicle my progress from mediocrity to overachiever, from ‘where I am to where I want to be’. Chances are this isn’t making sense to you, well, good news is that makes two of us.... Essentially here is the deal. About a year ago I purchased an audio program from itunes with an itunes gift card I received for my 21st birthday. The audio program is by Jack Canfield called "The success principles: How to get from where you are to where you want to be".

Since then I have listened to the program a few times, each time I do, I learn something, apply the learning’s to my life for about a week and reap the benefits of better productivity, motivation and find I am more energetic and happier. Then after about a week I get too busy, forget what I learned and revert to normal.

Several times I have committed myself to using the program to improve my life only to fail dismally. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t consider myself completely, now 22years old I have achieved allot since finishing school 5 short years ago including travelling to Africa, volunteering in Australia, worked as an events manager on large scale events, spoken to incoming university students about volunteering, represented my university on various publications and at events, grown in confidence (i was shy when I finished school), expanded my friends networks, nearly finished (i have 6 months left) my business degree, raised money to and volunteered for 6 months in South Africa and even learnt a little Zulu while I was there. I am not disappointed with where I am, but I know I am not realising my potential and feel that I need to use this program if I am to reach my dreams.

But why a blog? The answer is simple, for your help! I hope that by posting my progress here daily I will keep you interested enough to keep you coming back, giving me advice and telling me when I am slacking off and when I am going well. I also hope that, should this work, it will serve as an inspiration to you all. As you will soon see, my goals are big and if little old me can tick these monstrous achievements of my list then you should be able to do yours too. If....
